Fungo is much too polite to sneak up on Bucky!
He only goes after Bucky in self defense after Bucky bungles another attack.

Don’t cartoonists usually denote when they recycle a strip from years past by calling is “classic” or saying “originally printed on…” I’ve had this exact one hanging on my fridge at home for years now.

I hate reruns, too, but, I have to admit this one is a classic….That’s my take, and I swear like crazy it’s true….

Most cartoonists do not provide any notification to the readers when running repeats

Not everyone reads the comics every day and some people may be new to a strip so for many people this is a first time reading

I didn’t really realize myself how common a practice it is for cartoonist to re-run their material until I indexed my comic strip archive

The archive is organized by topics, and I was somewhat surprised to find out just how many duplicates I had because of this
