“Doozy” originally came from the Dusenberg car, to mean anything that looks spectacular but turns out to be very bad. So Bucky’s probably right.

The Duesenberg was anything BUT bad and a “Doozy” is something that is extraordinary or amazing, not something bad.

    As Lauren said,
    “doozy-something excellent”
    “doozy-a wonderful, or excellent thing
NOTHING to do with “turns out to be very bad”.

Not sure of the original meaning of “doozy” but the Duesenberg was a beloved classic car that was anything but bad.

I still think that D.U.S.I. could win a few rounds of Battlebots.

…and wouldn’t Bucky be confident that his invention was the Duesdenberg (or Cadillac) of blender attachments?

It’s wonderful to wake up and be entertained by the comics and informed by the commentators. I never knew that about the word “doozy”, though I often used it. Thanks.,br>It should be interesting to see Bucky"s invention in action. Find a safe place Satch!.
