    Haven’t seen Corky in a long time.

    Nice!

    Someone different for a Sunday strip. That should make a lot of folks happy (even though Slim is in the background having a bite to eat).

    I recently watched the Gasoline Alley movie from Netflix, and the plot revolved around Corky buying and opening the diner… 1951… http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0125761/

    Hooray! Corky and Terry are back! Now, let’s see them in a DAILY story line!

    It was brought out during the time Dick Moores did GA that Terry was a Native American. Corky should give her a raise.

    These days you are lucky you don’t bet a cut in pay or fired because in a Depression the only ones getting raises are the rich who modifies the laws to suit their wants.

    @night;
    Not in the ‘country diner’ area I’m from, and GA is not exactly a thriving metropolis, subject to the whims of powerful movers and shakers.. Do people avert their eyes and shush their children when you darken the entranceway? Sheeesh..
    Cheer down, willya?

    Terry probably lives off tips, like most waitstaff.

    By the way, the internet news has someone older than Walt: “If Bolivia’s public records are correct, Carmelo Flores Laura is the oldest living person ever documented. They say he turned 123 a month ago.”

    A good employer doesn’t make his employees ask for a raise.

    @TrapperJohn

    I’d rather see Corky and his family than Joel and Rufus.

    Me too, but only because I haven’t seen them as often as Joel and Rufus. (Don’t get me wrong. This is not to say that I don’t like J and R.)

    A good employer doesn’t make his employees ask for a raise.

    How good an employer he is has nothing to do with it. It’s an established fact that waitpeople make, at the most, about half the minimum wage — if they’re lucky. The rest of their living comes from tips.

    Joel and Rufus? Corky and Terry? And especially Terry! These are characters I think I can connect to!
    .
    Slim and Clovia have become boring. Introducing the dog has only made them annoying.
    .
    I like the suggestion above – why not focus on Corky and Terry for a while.
