A dog has to do, what a dog has to do. Unfortunately.

Giacomo is not that dog’s real name. It’s actually Cujo.

I blame the cat. Should not have been allowed to walk free.

The cat was probably the store owner’s mouser.

I had forgotten how much trouble a dog can be. Not having one for 20 years, and now having gotten a new puppy a few months ago…… some days I truthfully regret getting the dog…. but overall she is a lot of fun. However, in hindsight, I am now firmly convinced that CATS are about 700% easier to care for.

Will Slim make Gretchen pay for the damage?

Slim has no legal legs to stand on. Giacomo was in his care at the time, not Gretchen’s.

puppies can be trained cats cannot. Cats are highly independent. We have both. Cats only want love when they want food dogs love to beg and want to give love, cats only want petting when they desire and do not give love.

Basically cats are like teenagers. In their minds the universe revolves around them and looking cool is the most important thing.

I think he got away with saying it wasn’t his dog and the store manager let him take the dog away. Yeah, I know, wouldn’t happen in real life. When are you going to realize Slim gets away with things that he couldn’t get away with if he were real.

I have two cats trained to help pull wires through suspended ceilings. I put a harness on the kitty, and tie mason’s twine to the collar. I open the ceiling where I need her to start and where I need her to stop, up to 60 feet.
I put her in the start hole; and by the time I get the ladder to the stop point she may already be there; if not, all I need to do is say her name and, “kitty kitty,” then she comes to get petted.
After a few pulls of the twine to various other stop points I tie the cables to the twine and start pulling. I can use this method to save up to three hours on a 300’ pull.
Dog people think all animals should be trainable with food treats. Cats on the other hand are true a social animal, and may only be trained with respect, recognition and affection.
