Another good Sunday strip (We all do know that they are out of context, don’t we?)

There’s pride and there’s pride. Which is probably why the bad kind has often been called “false pride”.

They’ve always been out of context, haven’t they. King would do great imaginative Sunday strips when Skeezix was growing up. Perry did the same thing with Skipper and Judy… Scancarelli has done the same on occasion.

TemploSUD might want to chime in on this one, too: Pride never appears in the scriptures, except as a sin! It is significant that, when God addressed his Son, he didn’t say “I’m proud of him”; rather, he said, “in whom I am well pleased.”

The individuals in Ga have long since stopped developing as actual characters and are merely interchangeable props in the setup of corny jokes.
