Finally! A Varvel comic that I can agree with! The RED firetruck is the Republican party, right?
Gladius said, 4 months ago
I don’t think so. If Varvel wanted the truck to be the R party he would have been more obvious. Most people assosciate red with fire trucks even if it isn’t universal.

Hey…Late
It wasn’t the Republicans that decided not to spend most of the stimulus until after 2010

To many recipients have wanted to pay down debt instead of building stuff and creating jobs. And the $$$ are being rationed out to dimbulbocrat districts.

The truck is red as “in the red”.

Nice try Late. The fire truck is what Obama came in. He parked it there too as vehicles don’t park themselves.

Oh, and better still there is talk of Stimulus II. How nice. That’s just like opening the fire hydrant valve more without moving the truck.

Just saw a clip on CNN about Biden’s trip to Cinn. He was there to point out the stimulus money that had reached the Rep. minority leader’s district. Nice balanced reporting, riiiiight. I would like to know how much money has been slated to go where and what % of it has actually arrived. If you write a spending bill that large, some of it Will get where it’s supposed to go. I’m not interested in taking a stance one way on another until I get a hold of a more balanced view of the situation.
