My brother once pointed, yelled wolf and ran into another room. His marriage didn’t last three years.

For two dimensional characters with feelings, I recommend “Flatland” by Edwin A. Abbot.
    .
It was first published in 1884 as a political satire of the times and has remained in print ever since.
    .
Get an edition with the original illustrations or you’ll miss half the fun.
    .
It’s carried as a stock item in some Chapters or Indigo stores if you’re in Canada, or they’ll special order it for you.

    “So I pretended to faint.”
That says it all. I’m not sure what it says, but it says it all.

Ladies, take note: There is a very real physiological reason we men can’t express our feelings very well. Women have emotional “clusters” on both halves of the brain that bridge the cognitive and emotional. Men have one such cluster on the right side of the brain while the cognitive functions are on the left side. Thus when you ask us, “How are you feeling?” we have to hitch a mule, go over and look at what’s going on over on the right side. Unless all hell’s breaking loose, we’re going to assume everything’s okay. So if a guy just stares off after you ask the question, give him a few minutes. He’s checking.
