And to think Jon Arbuckle was raised on a farm.

His tongue is almost as long as Odie’s.

This one would not work without Garfield.

I guess after years of being an artist, Jon lost his “farm” thingy.
Still, can he smell the sourness before gulping down?

I pour my milk out of the plastic bottles from the store into
the old style glass milk bottles. You can still find them at antique stores. I think they keep the milk much colder in the
refrigerator. Anyway, I always had it that way when I was a kid, so its natural to me. Then I write the expiration date down on the kitchen calendar so I know when to use it all up.

On the bright side, he can trap wild yeast with it to bake sourdough bread with.

Too bad he’s not an alien from Alienation.

That’s what the whole strip comes down to. Some people like the way Jon is drawn these days, others don’t. I for one think they should go back to the old style. Just think about it. Find an older (90s) strip which shows Jon in shock/surprise/pain. Compare it to today’s look. And then imagine what he will look like in the future. No es bueno.

People in parts of the Willamette Valley used to deliberately mold bread for the LSD-like effect.

What with Jon’s lack of attention to just about everything,I often wonder….. How did he manage to LIVE long enough to end up with Liz?

Even 60-something years later I remember having been given a baby bottle of sour milk.
