    back when i was a kid growing up in western ny state, it was very common for snow to fall before halloween…. be wading through a foot of snow (or more) to go trick or treating

    In a hurry for Xmas are we Garf. The hat on the Jack looks very familiar.

    Actually ,Llewellenbruce,I’d expect the hat on the Jack to catch fire first, since heat rises.

    @ Tim; I still live in WNY. It’s not uncommon to have a prediction of snow or to at least have to prepare for near-freezing temperatures.

    Well now, I’ve seen frost in September however Garfield’s idea looks original.
