"Frog Applause reminds one of learning to read, in the sense that each word in the captions seems 'surprising' and new. Teresa's writing takes one back to that fresh state of mind (typical of, but of course not limited to, childhood) in which the brain, free of preconceptions, doesn't 'fill in' any blind spots along the way but rather wholly embraces the present moment as it unfolds. Every sentence is literally an imagination-expanding adventure." — Craig Conley, author of One-Letter Words: A Dictionary (HarperCollins)

I tried obedience school but still can’t help licking in public (especially at Baskin Robbins).

Excuses, excuses. Once a licker, always a licker—just more careful not to do it in public.

My father had a mutt that annoyed people by licking them. Dad could only control the dog by carrying it in his arms. It’s a good thing Dad could hold his licker.

Pretty sure that’s Britt Ekland. Actually Britt Elkland was the lesser known twin born with moose horns who, due to the size of her head, never left home. Sad.

Two guys are looking at a dog licking itself. First guy says: “Gee, I wish I could do that”. Second guy says: “He’d probably bite you”.
.
More will be added by others since this topic was “covered” in another strip a few weeks ago.

Pretty sure that’s Britt Ekland.
I Thought so too. But then I thought, “Her tits are too small.” So I did a search.
Brit Elkland and Britt Ekland appear to be one in the same, tits and all. Apparently, many bloggers have made the same mistake so Ms. Elkland has some blog entries but by all appearances they appear to actually be Ms. Ekland. The picture on Frog Blog is from one of the Elkland sites.
I’m sure Mr. Peter Sellers is resting more comfortably now that we’ve cleared that up.

It must be common for people to make that mistake, because it took me three readings of all the comments and then going back to the original post to see that extra letter.
What the L.

Very random-seeming juxtaposition on the Blog, with the Justice League’s substitution on the currency, “In GOOD we trust,” and the poignant Maurice Sendak interview, in which he echoes that sentiment in a secular, non-denominational way. One could even say in his atheistic way. The currents and the eddies of Teresa’s inscrutable mind continue to tweak us.

She looks uncannily like Natalie Wood.
