"Frog Applause reminds one of learning to read, in the sense that each word in the captions seems 'surprising' and new. Teresa's writing takes one back to that fresh state of mind (typical of, but of course not limited to, childhood) in which the brain, free of preconceptions, doesn't 'fill in' any blind spots along the way but rather wholly embraces the present moment as it unfolds. Every sentence is literally an imagination-expanding adventure." — Craig Conley, author of One-Letter Words: A Dictionary (HarperCollins)

This strip is museum quality classic ’Pataphysics. French: ’pataphysique, is a philosophy or pseudophilosophy dedicated to studying what lies beyond the realm of metaphysics. The term was coined and the concept created by French writer Alfred Jarry (1873–1907), who defined ’pataphysics as “the science of imaginary solutions, which symbolically attributes the properties of objects, described by their virtuality, to their lineaments.”

I get it, Teresa! In your insane lust for cartoon-power, you’re striving to become the Matisse of Comics!

re WHY DO CATS HAVE PRETTY STRIPES?
The person who wrote that is an obvious idiot. It’s a well known fact that all cats are atheists.
Incidentally, cats with that type of pattern are called a mackerel tabby, the most common type of tabby.

@Superfrog
True. More confectionery debris had to be swept up before M&M’s with peanuts evolved.

I would have thought that the big bang created pop corn.
