I just couldn’t drive in Ireland. I couldn’t deal with it. I thought that I could, after all, I had been driving all over the world.
To me, something was wrong about driving on the wrong side of the road. I couldn’t get it out of my old head.
My poor wife had to do the duty of getting us around the old sod after I drove up on the sidewalk after leaving the rental car place.
I am just not left brained, or any kind of brain at this point in my life.
I have driving all over the world, Europe, Africa SE Asia and all over but not in Ireland, Scotland or the British Isles. God Bless em.
Lovely countries and great beer.
As you drive around, please note the black spot markers on the highway where the tourists went home in a box.
Hope to get back again someday.
Me mother was a Campbell.

I drove in Scotland years ago – it wasn’t TOO bad when driving on a level where I could see cars coming at me – what freaked me out was sharp curves or going up a hill. My brain KNEW that I was driving on the wrong side, that a car would come over the hill or around the curve and kill me, and my entire nervous system kept shrieking at me to get over in the right lane, hurry hurry! Making a right turn at an intersection was interesting also.
I never did get used to driving on the left.
