Heh – and most bassets don’t do either very well! My basset jumped out of the boat when we were doing about 25mph. By the time I got it turned around and back to him, only his nose was still above water – he was going down fast. Grabbed him by the collar and snatched him up, wet and stinky, and tied him to the boat on a short rope so he didn’t try it again :)
