I had a Twitter account for a year or two, and followed one or two people I knew, plus a couple of news sources. When I realized that I was never looking at it, let alone tweeting anything of my own, I canceled my account.
But when I did cancel it, and mentioned it to a friend, she said “so that’s why I lost a follower!” People actually notice this stuff, apparently.
