Maybe not that passage, but “my way or the highway” or rather “Heaven or Hell” is the gist of the book.

We actually had something like the parable happen. We had a party for about 30 people planned, but a blizzard kept them from coming. In fact, it was so bad that Greyhound showed up with a busload of 30 or 40 people, who got to dine on prime rib, baked potatoes, and all the rest.

“Go out to the highways and byways and drive them in! I tell you, not one of the invited guests shall eat one mouthful of the feast.”

At the time you wrote that, I was hearing some Mellow Candle (Irish folk rock band). Their one album, in good condition would fetch hundreds (£s). I will wait until I find an honest record collector. Ho Ho.
