“Pussykins cat food tastes real good.

Satisfies cats like a cat food should." (tone deaf last word)

“Hardens their muscles. Softs their fur.

Pussykin’s cat food makes them pur. " (last word is offkey.)

    Crash! Thunk!

“Are you getting more cat food lately, but enjoying it less?”

    Lynn’s Notes:
One of the most effective advertising gimmicks ever was the “jingle.” My chums and I memorized all of them, and today, I can still sing the bluesy torch song that extolled the goodness of Du Maurier cigarettes. I’m trying to think of a modern equivalent…anyone heard a really good jingle lately?

    -
Strangely I can’t think of a modern jingle.

No, Night-G, modern adverts feature annoying music or smug, self-righteous spokespersons. Can’t think of a single jingle.

No need to dig the remote out from between the couch cushions.

Hey Mike, everyone STILL hates commercials and changes the channel when they pop up their annoying little heads.

Barry Manilow wrote great commercial jungles in the 70’s. “I am stuck on Band-Aids and Band-Aids are stuck on me.”

FreeCreditReport had some funny songs, and yes, there are lots of sayings, but not so many true jingles, no. I hadn’t thought about that. How insightful! I did like the Band-Aid one, and Folgers, back when, and both “Have it your way at Burger King” and I think there was a McDonalds one too… maybe because we don’t watch commercials, these days? LOVE DVR

…which has resulted in most channels scheduling their commercials at the same time.
