    I’d take that as a “NO,” Elly.

    At this point Farley will shake his wet body all over the place.

    The biggest risk associated with shampooing your dog is the fact that some shampoo can get in his eyes. This is not only unhealthy, but creates a painful, burning sensation. With those bubbles right on top of his eyeballs in Panel 2, you can tell that Farley is getting a good dose of this and that’s probably why he looks so miserable.

    They make shampoos that are eye safe.

    @howtheduck

    When I shampoo my dogs it’s ME that gets the shampoo in my eyes …

    He’s about to shake. THEN he’ll feel better.

    I think you’re the only one who feels better with a clean dog, Elly. But give Farley a little freedom and he’ll be rolling around in something to get his familiar doggy smell back!

    How did you stay dry, Elly? I always ended up wetter than my Buddy…

    “We’ll get you all nice and clean — that’s a boy!”

    In that case, Elly needs her eyes checked! LOL!

    I know just how Farley feels! (Not about a bath, but about other things people do “for my own good”)

    Lynn’s Notes:
    I had a good-sized wash tub in the backyard. It would take two of us to get him to the tub and then into it. Once he was in, he gave up the fight and put up with the scrubbing.

    @SUSAN NEWMAN

    Elly was the only one who could drag Farley out from under the bed and to the bathtub. That’s how she ended up doing the work.
