The manufacturers didn’t think to add a hood?!

Lying in the street? She’s old enough to know better.

    Test failed !!

Seriously, this is why a lot of software fails … the test cases just don’t reflect real-world situations.

    It’s not a dry suit.

Short of being in a space suit she was going to get wet.

Hold Tight: It’s only a cartoon!! (Yup, even at that age I knew not to do something like that – we were told we’d get Polio.)

Where are the comments about Elly letting a 4 year old play outside by herself? I wouldn’t have done that, but then again, it looks like Lizzie had a blast!

Yep the dredded polio…..we were not allowed to go anywhere where there were large crowds, go to public swimming pools, wade in the rain in the street, all because we might get polio. The biggest threat was the Iron Lung, just a picture of that thing was enough to keep us in the house.

I am glad Lizzie had fun and the suit worked fine until she put it through a “real world” test and stood under the down spout and laid in the puddle. That is what a little kids does. Looks like she had a lot of fun and that is what it is all about.

I’m not sure it was ever a good idea. But lots of people did it, and it seemed to work out OK.Don’t remember when precisely it was when parents would completely flip out over such a thing. But the everyday world for children has certainly changed.

I never knew a girl to do that, but my brothers did, and on the way to school! There was no calling mom to bring dry clothes in those days. They had to sit there cold and wet all day and never admitted they were miserable.

Please watch your language. There is no need for derogatory terms. :-)

The simple fact is, it is fun at that age to get wet in the rain. Just look at her smile in each situation.
