Was her brother always this culturally adventurous, or is this something Lynn has updated for today’s audience?

Phil needs to learn never Wok away from your stir fry.

Wonder what he’s using for heat in panel 1?

It looks like there are buttons on the bottom so I’m guessing it’s an electric wok. Wok’s for me anyway.

I bought a LeCreuset wok about 11 years ago. They are great for certain things, but the idea of cooking dinner in 10 minutes for a family is out. The cooking times are much longer than the propaganda, even if the food is very thin sliced.

Those aren’t buttons. They’re the round holes in a wok ring. He’s cooking on a stove. Electric woks don’t have buttons anyway, especially back when this was first printed. They have a temperature dial.

    Lynn’s Notes:
My brother is quite a good cook. He did like to use a wok. Most of the meals he made were in my kitchen, and I still have the wok to prove it!

It must be an electric wok because it’s sitting on the counter the whole time.

I used to have an electric wok my dad gave me but we only used it once and had to get rid of it because it took up too much space. Now we have one to use on the stove and my husband uses it now and then. I’ll have to get him to make us something with it soon, he can make some delicious meals in it.

Cooking is a lot of fun and can be adventurous. Unless you are the one who has to cook for the family every day.
