    Lynn’s Notes:
    After a week of sawdust, nocturnal scuffling, fights over him, and the omnipresent rodent smell, Sallie was pleased to return the school hamster to his rightful home – happy in the knowledge that she would never buy one for her kids!

    If you think one loose hamster is a problem, several years ago I was working in a retail store whe they were having a pet promoion and 200 hamsters got loose.

    Amazing that one such small creature can create so much smell.

    “Omnipresent rodent smell” is right! No matter how often you clean it, the cage always stinks of hamster pee.

    I’m only slightly surprised he survived . . .
    Surprised because he was handled a little too roughly at times.
    Not surprised because I STILL think he was a whole lot smarter than the entire Patterson family put together!!!!! ;-)

    Did you mean contrary? Otherwise, I just can’t make sense of that sentence. Help anyone?

    @Ralph Fisher:
    after being with Michael family for week
    Humphrey leaving his school hell maybe the contry

    .
    I think it’s both spelling and punctuation:
    “after being with Michael’s family for the week, Humphrey is leaving his school; hell, maybe the leaving the country.”
