    @Dry and Dusty

    In Lynn Lake (where this takes place) Winter lasts for about 6 months. Leaving Spring-Fall just 6 months!
    I know, I know, March 21-June 20 = Spring, June 21-Sept 20 = Summer, etc … however, being closer to the northern part of the world, and being that it tilts away faster, they usually get snow as early as September in those parts of Ontario! No word of a lie. I’ve also heard of them getting snow as late as Mid-APRIL!!!

    Lynn’s Notes:
    Summer goes by faster in northern Ontario than it does anywhere else on the planet. Come to think of it, so does spring. As a matter of fact, it has been noted that fall (my favourite time of year) disappears faster than springtime, which means winter has several extra months to drag on. I can’t say there is any scientific fact to substantiate this phenomenon, but it happens here, just the same.

    I’d trade her time in winter for the broiling extend summers here in Texas.

    Anecdotally my computer is running fine here so it may be your machines or even the browser you are using. The answers aren’t all cut-and-dry.
