No. By registering at any of the sites in our network, you are registered
for all of our Web sites. This makes it easy for you to take advantage
of individual features on each Web site without having to repeatedly enter
your information.
Why do you use cookies? What are cookies?
The term "cookie" refers to a small text file sent to your browser that
allows us to store your username and other preferences in a secure fashion.
These small files cannot harm your computer and do not contain any personal

With the auto-login feature in our registration system, we use a cookie
to remember the login information you gave us so you don't have to enter

The short answer to this question is yes. GoComics provides high-quality
content and entertainment resources for users of all ages. However, our

REGISTRATION
When do I have to register? Why do I need
to register?
You can send a comics to a friend, view comics, and enjoy a number of GoComics features
without registering. However in order to receive e-mail you must register
with a minimum amount of information so that we can send you the comics
you would like to see. Registration also enables us describe the AGGREGATE demographics (e.g. 60% of the readers of the comic strip Cathy are female) of our sites to advertisers. We do not disclose specific information about any user to third parties.
Do I have to pay for e-mail or other registration benefits?
No. E-mail and other benefits are free to you! Enjoy them!
How do I log in once I have registered?
Unless you turn off your cookies, you will be logged in automatically when you return to our Web sites. If you are on a different machine or have your cookies turned off, go to the sign in page and input your username and password to log on to your account.
How do I edit my information?
You can edit your information through the "My Account" system.
What if I forget my password?

What does the e-mail delivery of the comics mean?
We deliver today's comics directly to your e-mail inbox. You'll get the latest, greatest comics and editorial cartoons - and only the ones that you choose. (It just doesn't get any easier!)
How do I sign up?
It's easy! If you are over 13, you can sign up right now! If you're 13 or under, you need to click here first.
How do I subscribe to receive multiple comics? We make it easy - you only have to register once, but you can make changes whenever you want! If you are registered, you can do this from the "My Account" system. We will send you each comic you
request in an individual e-mail. If you are not a registered member, you can sign up right now!
What if I want to unsubscribe or change my mind about what I want to receive?
You can change what you want to receive through the "My Picks" page in the "My Account" section - just click on the box next to the comic to check (add) or uncheck (remove) a particular feature. We only send you what you want to receive!
How often will I receive e-mail?
If the comic is published daily, you will receive that day's comic every morning in your e-mail. Some GoComics features are not published daily. If you register for a feature that is not published daily, you will receive that feature periodically as it is published.
How long does it take to get e-mail? (time between registration and receiving e-mail)
You will receive your first e-mail within 24-48 hours from when the comic is published. For comics that are published daily (most comics), this is 24-48 hours from when you register. Some comics that are not published daily will take longer.
SEND TO A FRIEND
How do I send something on GoComics to a friend?
On a page where you are viewing a comic, click on the "send to a friend" button. You can then type in your personal message, to be delivered with the comic to your friend.
How do I pick up a comic that someone has sent me?
This is the great part! The comic will actually be delivered directly to your e-mail; you can view both the comic and any attached message directly through your e-mail, without clicking on any links in most cases. If you have an e-mail client that can't read HTML, we'll send you a link to pick up your postcard. Then you'll click on the link and you will see your postcard. (Note: these links expire after 60 days.)
How do I know my postcard has been sent?
You will receive an immediate confirmation message when you send your postcard.

TECHNICAL ISSUES
Do I have the right browser?
GoComics recommends that you have version 4.0 or later of any of the major browsers, including Netscape Navigator or Communicator, Internet Explorer, or America Online (AOL) version 5.0. These browser recommendations are applicable for computers running the Mac OS operating system and those using Windows 95/98/NT/2000.
In addition, to ensure full compatibility with GoComics, you must have Javascript/Jscript enabled and your browser must be set to allow cookies.

What should I do if images do not load correctly?
Usually, images that do not load correctly represent a temporary problem and do not require any special fixes. Simply reload the page you are currently visiting and the problem should be resolved. If the issue does not resolve itself you might also make sure that your browser software has not become corrupt - if it has you might try uninstalling and installing the most current version of your chosen browser software.
What do I do if comic images I have sent or received do not load correctly?
First, make sure that your chosen e-mail client allows you to view images as part of your e-mail messages. Next, check to see if the image has been included as an attachment. Finally, make sure your e-mail program is not corrupted and is functioning correctly.
Why do I need Flash and/or Shockwave?
Flash and Shockwave allow GoComics.com to deliver the most engaging, compelling and interesting entertainment content currently on the Web.
