CALVIN: @ Arye – The beloved Hobbes has been found…but isn’t that Susie, Calvin’s nemesis?JUDGE PARKER: @ david – I believe the Chubbs made their living as assembly-line workers and were laid off when their jobs were moved offshore.PHANTOM: @ JanCinLV – I liked your predictions yesterday – and I’m with david (anything can happen in the comics.).MARK TRAIL: I expect we will be left in some sort of suspense until next week. MANDRAKE: Whomever (or whatever) took Clem has come back for his fishing rod. I’m enjoying this story…so far.SALLY FORTH/BOOKS: @ david (& Teh) – I am going to recommend a western tale I recently read and truly enjoyed – “Riding Freedom” by Ryan. It’s the young adult version of a story told in “The Whip” by Kondazian. I liked both books…but more than liked (I loved) the illustrated young adult “Riding Freedom.”FUNKY W/BOOKS: I had to look it up, and found the line was in two books, “The Lost City” (‘32) and posthumous “The Tycoon” (41). Often misquoted, the ’32 version was: "I once thought that there were no second acts in American lives, but there was certainly to be a second act to New York’s boom days." Scott experts think he was saying something like, I once believed this but I’ve been proved wrong. Perhaps.I’m being just like Les and giving way TMI (Too Much Information)!
