APT3G: It looks to me like Margo isn’t as in love with Greg as Greg is to Margo.
MARY WORTH: If Mary’s condo is an adult community, why don’t they have a ramp for wheelchairs, etc. as ell as steps?
REX MORGAN: Rich people should not only appreciate what they have but theyv should donate some of what they have to the less fortunate.

MARK TRAIL: This fun story has included a lot of scenery & wildlife…thanks Jack Elrod!
MARY WORTH: This comment at jsonline gave me a laugh:“Mary was lurking behind the bushes all morning waiting for someone to drive up.” @Arye – good question.

JUDGE PARKER: So why were Thalia and her husband in Paris? (France is not a developing country) Sounds like she could be talking about post-earthquake Haiti – what with the cholera outbreak that has occurred there.
BTW, I am currently reading “The Big Truck That Went By,” by Jonathan M. Katz, an American AP correspondent who had been living in Haiti for 2 years when the earthquake hit, and then stayed another year.

Mark Trail – Oh, sure. The baddy didn’t even notice the camera dropping on the ground.
Judge Parker – Still giving background material. We’ll probably get the story started next week some time.
Mandrake – Time to gesture hypnotically.

PHANTOM: While P. rests in the cage with his lioness friend, there are a couple grisly lion stories in the real-world news today (California, USA. & Zimbabwe, Africa). I believe P’s (fictional) Bengalla is somewhere in or near West Africa, whereas Zimbabwe is toward the southern part of the continent.

Mark Trail: Do you think Mark will look at the pictures Rusty took and figure what is going on?
Mary Worth: I told you the older monan looked like a battle- axe. She is.
Phantom: We won’t be getting out of the cage until next week. Ho-hum

A3G – Margo is independent, not clingy. Clingy can get tiresome.
Rex – Heather’s husband may be the next story. Sarah will get a lesson on the difference between need and want, enough and too much.
Judge Parker – Perhaps Thalia and husband work with “Medicins sans Frontieres – Doctors without Borders”. They could be headquartered in France and go out to African countries.
Mary Worth – Mary may have met her match. Will she hear MYOB?

Rex – “never take it for granted” – Is this an omen, and a clue for where this story is going?

REX: there is regular conversation about wealth in this strip.
MARK TRAIL: is it a digital camera or are we going to buy that someone is still using film?
MARY: I’ve been fortunate enough to help some elderly widows lately with their lawns and housework. with the help of 3 friends last weekend, we filled 6 garbage cans with sweet gumballs that were on the driveway and covered the lawn. I have to remember to go there tonight and take them to the curb for pickup Friday.

Mark Trail – When Rusty was kidnapped the last time, they downloaded (or is that uploaded) the pictures, but then printed and hand-delivered them. It took forever.
