   I know a couple of people who get meals on wheels delivered twice a week and I know they will suffer if that program ends.

   Jeez, what kind of child are you, the government would not feed your mother so you let her starve to death? Or did she end her life unable to bear further existence. Were you the beneficiary of her life insurance? Your a true conservative.

   I watch some TV (LOL) now that I am retired. So I like the CSI types and the murder mystery sleuth and the occasional scify epic. You know what is a common theme of the “bad” guys? When they are in a bind and it seems they may have to pay consequences, the last ditch effort is to grab the most helpless, the most defenseless person in the area – usually female and trembling in fear – as a “shield” If you don’t (do specific thing) then I will kill/maim this person.
   
   Now why is the president running around the country telling everyone how if this 85 billion dollars in taken away from his borrowing power then seniors will not eat, teachers will not teach, childcare centers will burn to the ground, the border will be overrun (ha) TSA will delay flights and Air traffic controllers will force jets to circle for days on end while they get a chance to direct them to terminal A2.
   
   You don’t do what I say I’ll shoot this country in the head.

    And who is it that is going to choose where to cut? The GOP? Nope. If you fear the sequester then how about targeting the 62 billion Obama and his administration identified as waste in the medicare/medicaid program? It wasted right so it shouldn’t hurt anyone. And gee, instead of forcing our military to use $27 a gallon biofuel how about a temporary fix and go back to $4 a gallon diesel? A small thing but small numbers add up.
    
    No my brother, the 2.3 percent cut in excess spending will not touch a single thing that is listed as mandatory in the “budget”. That includes Social security, medicare/medicaid, veterans benefits and the choice of where to cut is up to the president.
    
    So if cuts are made to any of the essential programs that Obama mentions it is not because there was no other place to cut it is because the man that is only interested in advancing his political agenda – president obama – chooses to do so.
    
    does that make him heartless too?

    If you give food – no matter the amount – to subsidize the diet of a person, and that person sees no need to eat it but feeds his pets then it is obvious to me that the person in question does not need the meal and should be removed from the program. Gee, another place to cut the expenses of a government program. But will you make the move to stop waste? No you will not because you may be perceived as “heartless” reather than a “guardian of the public trust”

    Little Green Men’s comment is of course a falsehood. He would like to think it was a joke. It was in poor taste. Just like the comment about people feeding the food to their cats. Old people have problems, and they are giving people, who will put the wishes of their best companion (their pet) before their own.

    From here it sounded like the “joke” you making was “if we just stop feeding these people then they die. Problem solved.” When Charles Dickens had that sentiment come from the mouth of Ebeneezer Scrooge it was meant as a condemnation of the miserly, heartless attitude.

    What in God’s name are you trying to say? We weren’t supposed to feed your mother? OOOOOHHH I see, you’re trying to say: First you a holes with “My mother gets Meals on Wheels”. Feed her yourself…

    My Great Aunt (a life long STAUNCH Republican) lived (eventually alone) for much longer than she ever had imagined (100 years when she passed) and she was blind yet she was living independently, her daughter would go to her house 5 days a week (she’s allowed to have a life too, that’s OK with you isn’t it) and Meals on Wheels delivered two meals per week. My Aunt could put them into the microwave but that was about all she could still do in the kitchen. She couldn’t operate a stove or oven, She couldn’t chop etcetera (she could pour herself her one ounce of Bourbon and soda that she had every day at 5.)

    If Meals on Wheels delivers one or two meals per week then it is semi obvious that somehow the other five or six days are covered. Meals On Wheels is the sort of money spent that saves money. Without it, more elderly would need to move into nursing homes at the cost to the taxpayer of $6,000 per month. Spending $100 (as if it cost that much) per week to save $6,000 per month.

    In English I think this says: “Sorry; but to me, all government employees should have their income (?) cut by 20% and Congressmen and Senators should take a 50% cut in pay, and no benefits for either of them! Those people are in the 1% that you liberals keep complaining about.”

    I changed “tax” to “income” because I’m sure both groups would welcome a 20% to 50% cut in their income taxes. Beyond that, you are spouting nonsense. There is spittle on the inside of my computer monitor from your mouth foaming, mouth breather, knuckledragger rant.
