    The pictures of the pollution in Beijing in particular are the worst I have ever seen. Between the Chinese and the Indians I’m afraid it’s going to be a tight race between their economic progress and burying themselves in their own waste and pollution. There is a CNBC special that runs every few months that documents their landfills, waste treatment and water quality problems that is fascinating to watch but frightening when you grasp the enormity of their problems. When you talk about discussing global warming and pollution, they aren’t even open to discussion. Economics trumps all else.

    So where are the activists in China? Striking and demanding that China change to suit their personal beliefs? Stand in front of those tanks. Make a difference. Make them pay for the global warming religion. Right.

    The only lesson Ima learned from the thick, toxic smog in Bejing is that we shouldn’t do anything to avoid a similar fate in the USA.
