When a GOP Governor has to give a GOP Speaker such a smack down, you know your party is heading in the wrong direction. Keep up the good work Dumb(o).

clearly christie, and peter king and all the republicans who spoke out against the house GOP gaggle are bad, evil people and should be thrown out of the republican party. There is no place in the GOP for anything but goostepping lockstep to the radical right.

I guess your post was meant as satire, but the core is true. “Purification” of the party has been the meme of the last four years or so. Grover’s pledge is not the only one out there, and some politicians sign pledges that could have been written by Stalin. Some Republicans, like Joe Scarborough, know this and are trying their best to re-establish the idea of “big tent” but have failed to do so. 2014 will be critical for the GOP. If they mess up the House they will be consigned to the trash-heap of history. And Michelle Bachmann’s introduction of the 34th (!) bill to kill Obamacare is an indicator that they learned nothing. But that’s part of the purification, I guess…

When conservative interests become so blind to the needs of the working class, things like the French Revolution happen. Investing in guillotine manufacturers seems like a good move.

The French were starving and war weary. Giving someone Free Stuff to insulate them from their constant bad life decisions is not compassion. It’s bad Government.

Left free to decide, employers would reduce quality of life to the point where the masses could see no benefit in not revolting. Socialism took root in the sweat shops and company stores of the late 19th century USA. No one living remembers those conditions, but it is recorded in history. You lack the foresight to see the logical conclusion to our current economic, geopolitical, ecological and social trends. I don’t see any possible positive outcome that does not include a drastic reduction in the number of humans on this planet.
