Don’t the “Tree-Rats” ALREADY have ’Rocky the Flying Squirrel" ?

I distinctly remembering watching him and that Moose side-kick of his foiling Evil Communist plots back in the 60’s!

….and that was one of the finest cartoon series EVER! Terrifically subtle and pointed humour, good political commentary from time to time.

Ahh, the travails of Boris and Natasha.

Des McAnuff ruined it for everyone. Squirrels would rather forget it and move on to something less politically correct and whitebread. (Besides, the Ward family still owns the rights to the the “Rocky” name.)

The continuing adventures of Bat-rat. And his sidekick, the trusty Rat-rat.

I thought his REAL name was “Rocket J. Squirrel” and that Rocky was just a nick-name.

(. . . and anyway he had that cool Leather Flying Helmet, just like the WWI Flying Aces!)

Quite right, as I’d expect from a “Boy Scout.”

Writing like THAT, sadly, will never be seen on any TV Show again. No “Market” for wit and insight remains after 40+ years of N.E.A. “Dumbing-Down” of the American Sheeple. Look at “Common Core” for your Children’s pathetic future.

Let’s not forget Sherman and Mr. Peabody. And Dudley Do-Right.

The trademarked show title was never “Rocket and Bullwinkle”…

Or Fractured Fairy Tales, those were my Dad’s favorite.

Personally, I was all for Sherman and Mr. Peabody.

I so agree! My father watched cartoons every Saturday morning with me and my brother. I’m not sure which of us enjoyed them more, but Rocky & Bullwinkle was his favorite. :) He’s always said that Rocky and Bullwinkle was wasted on children. Years later we would watch R&B reruns on Nickelodeon when I came home from work. I did see what he meant then. lol
