Babies and puppies are both quite cute, but underneath the soft, cuddly exteriors lie the fearsome hearts of competitors. Well, not really. When a new baby joins the household, Sophie the dog is initially irritated, but eventually comes to see the baby, Doug, as the asset he is: a better way to get snacks. Though the baby is still hogging precious attention, and has a tendency to pull ears and be a general nuisance, a begrudging friendship forms between the two rivals. Watch the mischief unfold in Brian Anderson’s Dog Eat Doug.

Every farm should have a lot of cats.

Looks like my barn at feeding time. I have to fight my way through the cats to find their feed dishes!

For a rolls royce, that’s pretty ineloquent language. It’s only a comic …

Is that the “Jaws” theme I hear playing in the background?

This looks like a scene out of the Safari Off Road Adventure at Six Flags Great Adventure in NJ. When it first opened up many moons ago they let the gibbons run loose and they use to climb on your car and pull off anything they could. They really like vinyl roofs. :) These cats would probrably only leave hair balls in the motor.

@listmom
Love your comment yesterday about what the dawg brought back.

My first thought was the monkeys swarming cars in those safari type theme parts, like Cygnus XI said. Fun! Keep it up, Brian…thanks

I have been reading for years because I enjoy the Dog and baby interaction. Can you please get rid of the cats!! The cats ruin the strip. The squirrels and Sophie were good. Not the cats!

Just quit reading it then you cat hater!

@rollsroyce
I’m sorry to hear you dislike the cats. However, enough people like them, myself included, that Brian probably won’t remove them.

always honk your horn before you start the car. My pick up truck lost a serpentine belt when it ate a cat. My barn cats are so wild you can only touch them when there is food in front of them. They are coyote feed in the middle of winter, it helps keep the numbers down. The last 2 female cats that I paid to have spayed lasted less than 2 weeks. On the up side, I have no trouble with mice/rats/rodents. The whole mess started with one pregnant cat that someone dumped at my house.

@Macushlalondra
I’d say readers have more right to complain when the comic is changing so dramatically that they feel “sold out.” I’m a cat person, but this is a bit much.
