I’m actually with Joy on this one. Girl Scouts or not, no one should sell damaged products.
But Ciloplex? I found a similarly spelled product that is a colon cleanser. (I think that’s an expensive name for a laxative.) I gotta turn the page on that thought.

Maybe it was a kid they dealt with last year….
you know they would have spent half an hour telling her how much less they used to cost,
then argued about the change, stiffed her for a quarter….
came back and complained about the cookies…

This year she had a special box of shortbread ready, just for them…. the one she stepped on when she saw them coming.

    Hey, 10-year-olds aren’t very subtle.

Meanwhile, they may have gotten shorted on the shortbread….
    but there’s a Two-Fer on Find-Its…

And actually, they’ll do fine on the cookies too…
cos they’ll eat most of them before they return them for a new, full package.

You KNOW they don’t really care if they’re broken,
if it means they’ll end up eating 18 oz for the price of a 10 oz package.

Wait… perhaps he doth protest too much….
did I wrongly accuse a poor Girl Scout?

Was it Burl’s foot on that package?

It could have been worse, She could have gotten the thin mints that were out in the sun and all melted together.

But then she and Burl would argue over who got the BIG cookie. Well can’t win them all can we?

I’m wondering about the Importent (sic) keys… And I agree. Those cookies will disappear anyway.

Gee, I coulda told ’em. The really “heavy-set” scout who looked like a Joy-in-training got a ’lil tired of just standing still there in front of the Crust-O-Mart entrance, and she slammed her expansive sitz-platz down on a whole helpless stack of Thin Mints, Samoas & Tagalongs!! The kids sold those first to get rid of ’em!! So crumby of them! Snark! SNARK!!

Susan’s right (in that Joy and Burl could care less what their food looks like) if GS cookies can be called “food”
They aren’t REALLY even going to complain, just stop the check (a really CRUMBY thing to do to any charity, especially when you HAVE received merchandise.

Last time I bought some cookies (from one of the neighbors) I couldn’t find anyone who would eat them.

They should only choke on the crumbs.

I’m surprised they’re not putting the crumbs on ice cream.
A friend of mine’s Dad used to go to Goldblatts and buy “cookie crumbs” for 2-3 cents per pound (back in the ’30’s). Ate them as cereal

Now tell me how some Girl Scouts can tell that inside a sealed box, the cookies are broken up?

The individual GS obviously cannot know, but the upstream distribution system does. They know which boxes/pallets have been dropped and made the decision to sell it anyway. (Oh, that pacemaker fell on the floor just now, but it’ll be OK, nobody noticed and it’s really expensive so just go ahead and put it in—not!)

I think if you shake them hard enough long enough that you can tell.

It does not appear they are having trouble eating them. I wish Burl would throw back a handful and choke on them.

Have 5 unopened boxes in the pantry right now…. Always support the GSA…. If sold in front of ACE… I buy a box and then give it right back for them to use as samples…. Why not… ! ? !

Gym Shoe, I wouldn’t mind doing that if they were sold in front of any stores, but they have only come to my front door. I HAVE bought for them to be shipped to troops however. I just hope those folks like them more than I do.

My guy mentioned liking some bar cookies made with molasses (so I baked some yesterday to see if he likes with the ice cream I’ll make tomorrow). I tried a few, and they are tasty.
