Julie Larson began writing The Dinette Set comic in 1990, then called Suburban Torture, offering a satire on middle class culture. The Dinette Set became syndicated in 1997. When asked where Julie gets all of her ideas, she admits there is only one way to write a daily comic: write about what you know. "I make no bones about who’s really talking in The Dinette Set," says Julie, who is writer, director and cast of The Dinette Set. "If we can’t make fun of ourselves, who will?"

Poor Jer, he just doesn’t get it, however you define “it.” And, it appears, with the possible exception of Verl, he never will. Love the tees. Hope is being honest but C has a truth in advertising problem.

Panel 1 tells us Marilyn from The Munsters moved to Crustwood. That could be the only reason the girl who claimed the pink scarf looks like what we might recognize as a human moreso than the other characters.
Panel 2 lets us know, by way of the couple in the foreground, that Dale and Joy got together in a parallel universe.

Forsooth! May I add spend as much time with children and grandchildren . Just had a B day and all came two for a few mins the rest a few hours but I just enjoyed watching them interact. I thought wow all because I asked this girl if she was doing anything Saturday night. ( took her to see Goldfinger in the movies)

As I know that I’m “in the waiting room” I will just try not to annoy my decendants as I prefer to spend as much time as possible with my lover (wasted too many years). I’m also taking ever better care of my health (as is he) as neither of us wants to be taking any medications.
