    I think the important thing is to have an excuse, any excuse, isn’t that true? I once used the old standby that I’d been picked up by a UFO and had to fight my way out against hungry aliens with napkins around their necks and forks and knives in their appendages and still managed to get there only 5 minutes late. It worked because it elicited a laugh and here I am, still alive and well 30 years later. If I hadn’t had an excuse though, well, no telling what may have happened, right?
