Ouch. Reminds me of a repo man or towing service.
(Towing services in Portland are legendary for stealing cars when the car is in its own reserved space. Repo men… ahem… thieves with portfolio that have frequently grabbed the wrong cars.)

I once had my house broken into by the electricity board and the electricity turned off. They had the right house number, the right street but the wrong town. It was turned back on in record time and I got a good amount of compensation. But the interesting this is that the woman I spoke to on the phone wanted to leave the switching back on until the following day. She wasn’t happy when I gave her name to the newspapers.

We get that sort of thing all the time on our street . . . Lefeber Ave. . . . it’s an extra street that they slipped in between and parallel to 72nd and 73rd. My wife had a hard time convincing the young man from the gas company, who was putting his little yellow flags on our front lawn, that he was at the wrong house.
