A direct result of years of RIFs and budget reductions, as well as changes to regulations under, gee, the Reagan and Bush administrations to “protect and defend” the “United Corporate Contributors of the Republic (-an base)”.

28 years without safety inspections. A nice example of free market at work without any onerous “regulations” to hold them back.

No, you’re supposed to say something when you might be killed by terrorists, so we can give up our freedom. When you might be killed by corporations, that’s just the price of freedom.

Tragic, but I have a hard time feeling too much sympathy for people who willfully live next door to a fertilizer plant and allow their kids to attend school next to the same plant. There’s NOTHING you can do to help people like that unless they’re willing to open their eyes.
