Sums up part of the problem in a gun nutshell.

    Ah yes, more guns.

How about the reports where the guy inside fears the knock at the door and starts shooting?

This Alabama story of the guy who shot the bus driver and is holding a five year old in a cellar at gun point illustrates the point that there are too many insane people with weapons.

Such a bloody shame; children, teachers and now a bus driver – people working to make the world better- senselessly murdered.
I greatly fear for the child hostage in Alabama.

Technically it’s not a cellar but a bunker he dug himself it seems. I don’t know how that information came to light but apparently it’s four by six by eight feet, the last one being the depth. What kind of a bunker is that? Were are the shelves full of food to outlast the Red Dawn? Where is the 50cal M60 to fight of the Zombies? Where is the air-filter equipment to counter the nuclear dust after WW3? This guy is nuts in more than one way (or he never watched “Doomsday Preppers”, a series I could not watch without hitting my head on the table repeatedly, best comedy from the U.S. ever)…

I wonder why all the “conservatives” are so wishing for the end of civilization. Aren’t you supposed to “conserve” it? And since we in Europe had our upheavals some time ago its unlikely to happen anytime soon. Look at Greece. Yes, there are protests, strikes and so on. But the lights are still on, the water is flowing, the police is on the beat. Much to your chagrin, I imagine…

How ‘bout the sniper and his friend being sniped at the local gun range? How’s about putting more guns around the gun range to protect us from sniper snipers, Mr. NRA. Please, we need yer firepower help. We don’t know which way to turn from the flying bullets.

I think a homicide, sad as it is of two snipers by a guy they’re trying to help, at a GUN RANGE sums up a number of things. Like, mental illness IS a problem, but how did two of the most highly trained MILITARY men, after multiple deployments, get ambushed on a gun range?

Tell me again how a school teacher with a pistol will defend a classroom full of children, and reduce casualties? How about security, when in so many cases around the country, it’s the police, and yes, security officers at museums who get shot first.

Yep, guns don’t kill people, right.

^ How did it happen? Routh (the shooter) was mentally unstable and Kyle (the victim) gave him a gun. Same old story.
