I agree, we need to end corporate welfare and increase revenues for public entities so they can get out of debt.

Don’t forget Clintonomics with the whole NAFTA thing (which gave WarShrub the idea for WTO and all the other AFTA agreements).

Rich America’s policy of off shoreing jobs so they can make more money has real consequences. Wall Streets ripping off everyone has real consequences. Having the highest priced and not very effective medicine has real consequences.
By the way, China and Russia are trading oil without using US Dollars and China is building the biggest oil refinery in the world in Saudia Arabia trying to convince them to get off the US petrodollar. If the world stops using the dollar to buy oil our money will be worthless because its not backed by anything. But then again we have the worlds biggest military to force our will on the world.

Tigger, you don’t understand what you’re talking about. Michigan has been run by the GOP for several years now, and things have gotten much worse since they took over. Taxes were lowered — it turns out, that vastly increases government debt. Government services were deeply cut — turns out, that increases crime and lowers response time and damages the economy. Exactly what a rational person would predict. Pensions in Detroit are not padded, they’re very reasonable and keep retired people in their homes. Paul Krugman has a nice analysis of this, based on actual facts, not right-wing made-up hate-the-poor talking points, if you want to read it.
