Agreed, petergrt - US Airlines are definitely taking a nose-dive. If Virgin America hit more places, I’d be taking them on every trip in-country. And for international travel, there’s simply no comparison. Even the worst of the majors beats any US airline in terms of travel quality, customer service, even cleanliness. When I went to China a couple of months ago, United had absolutely shamefully ill-tended planes, old (and uncomfortable) seats in Business Class, and were actively rude and provided poor service. And they’re not the worst. I am no longer taking US Airways unless forced. And I fly a lot. I have one platinum, one gold, and I think two or three silver FF cards.
