As a wife, I’m pretty sure I’m not quite there yet. Ask again in ten years.

I frequently have to tell the women at work that I’m only getting the one Mother’s Day card.

I had one not only tell me what to eat, but how to eat. I eat all of the vegetables first, then all of the meat, then potatoes, for example. She said to eat a couple bites of one, then a couple of another, etc.

I tend to ‘mother’ people, but not my husband. I don’t think it would work for spouses to act like parents to each other. We don’t refer to each other as Mom or Dad either, unless we’re talking to the kids.

I “mother” my wife. I get after her about too much sugar, salt, caffeine, and spending.

Yes I admit it. I’m a health nag just like my mother.

Yeah – It’s really hard to get sponsors in this economy.

If you have a serious partner, it is natural to look after his health. In my case, as I plan to have a long life without meds (and don’t want anyone else to share things ), I always encourage him to care for himself, shop for healthy foods etc (and we enjoy even just grocery shopping together).

Nope. I’ll sponsor baseball or football, but not soccer.

My brother-in-law’s doctor told him to cut back on salt, and my sister razed a six block area. Have you ever had chicken soup made without salt? Ditto mashed potatoes. She made all of her own bread, refused to salt, so it didn’t rise. Lucretia!

I’m mom to one and sometimes have to act like mom to the other. As long I don’t become my mom, it’s all good.
