Richard Thompson's Cul de Sac, is a comic strip about the life of a pre-school girl named Alice Otterloop. It is a light-hearted comic strip centered around a four-year old girl and her suburban life experiences on a cul-de-sac with her friends Beni and Dill, older brother Petey and her classmates at Blisshaven Academy pre-school. Alice describes her father's car as a "Honda-Tonka Cuisinart" and talks to the class guinea pig, Mr. Danders. She has the typical older brother who plays jokes on her, and she contemplates ways to keep the scary clown from jumping out of the jack-in-the-box with friends.

I guess Mr. Otterloop just doesn’t realize that his darling daughter is now a mature four-year old! He’s still treating her as though she were three and a half! Kevin the Buckethead commiserates correctly.
P.S. I love the tiny car, as always.

Those rebellious 4 year olds think they know it all…

@carl craig
The date on the last panel says 1/16, so if it is a rerun they matched the dates.

On yesterday’s comic, Richard Thompson left a comment with a link to his blog: http://richardspooralmanac.blogspot.com/2012/01/todays-cul-de-sac-january-15-2012.html
The short of it is that the recent reruns are because he’s having to take a lot of time off for health reasons.

You tell him, Alice. Daddy-O needs to watch the road anyway. His vehicle makes a Yugo look like a Hummer…

This is starting another rerun week after last week there was fresh new episodes following a post Christmas rerun week. Why is that?

The reason for rerun weeks, is it because Richard Thompson has to take therapy for Parkinson’s disease?

There is a story in the Washington Post that Richard Thompson is taking 3 or 4 weeks off for treatment for Parkinson’s Disease.
I wish him well and hope the treatment is successful.

Sure hope the therapy helps. I enjoy your strips, reruns or not. They are some of the funniest I’ve ever seen!
