    I was digging with a shovel in the middle of a field and the OHSA man got mad at me for taking my hard hot off because it was hot. I looked around and asked him what could fall on me way out here, an airplane?

    I’ve often used a white hard hat because it keeps the head cool. The other colors tend to catch more heat. I went up with some fellow bio students into the Eagle Caps one time with a hard hat. They laughed at first. Then, after seeing it keep the sun off, then at the lake we camped at, I popped the straps out of it and used it to shave in and wash in, and carried water with it to put out the fire, no one laughed after that.

    Only regret on that trip was not taking a large hematite rosette. Saw it from the trail on the way up. Figured it was a wilderness, so leave it. Noticed it was missing later that week.

    It’s OSHA, not OHSA. Not being the grammar police here, just wanted David to know I read the strip, and that’s all I could think of to say! rofl smileys photo: rofl rofl.gif

    @Dry and Dusty

    I get to blame Google for this one. I could not remember for sure which way it was so I asked Google ……………………………………………………………………

    …………………………………………………………………………
    There is a OHSA it is the over seas version of our OSHA. But I meant OUR version here in the US which is OSHA. Google made me look bad.

    I had a white cowboy hat style last (with my nickname and some rhinestones glued on).

    Troubles with those safety folks? They made me wear safety goggles (same as all the workers) in a space where the real danger was BREATHING the fumes. But I had to conform to written standards for that space. I had pre-read safety sheets for every chemical used there so had a good mask and I put on the goggles but did not let them bother integrity of the mask. I always took extra vitamins on the days when I worked any of those labs, too.
