"Humans are social animals. We must follow certain rules and behaviors to be members of a civilized society." "Yet when it comes to our economic ideology, all the social rules that keep us civil to one another go out the window." "Shouldn't we want an economy that behaves like our society? One that doesn't just favor the strongest, but cares for the weakest?" "Like socialism?" "Not so loud. Let's just call it capitalism-nice."
Isn’t that how nature works, though? The smartest and strongest get the best, the weakest and dumbest have to work harder to scrape by on whatever they can scrounge together for themselves, or find an indispensable niche in their ecosystem to fill.
