"You're wrong. Jesus wasn't born on Christmas. I Googled it." "See, a lot of people think Jesus was born sometime in the spring and not winter because it would've been too cold for an outdoorsy birth." "You're missing the point. They may or may not have moved the date, but Jesus' birthday is Christmas. There would be no Christmas without a Jesus." "Methinks a certain jolly fat man with a white beard may beg to differ. Just a hunch though." "How do I know more about this than you?"
The Catholic Church invented Christmas to ease the pagans away from the celebration of Solstice and other such festivals in the winter. The US capitalist system made it into a shopping holiday.
