Tax money paid to contractors to build roads and bridges goes to employees of the contractors, those who provide materials such as asphalt or steel and THEIR employees, those people buy food and the money goes to grocery stores (retail jobs) the farmers and ranchers that raise or grow the food, the butcher, baker, candlestick maker, and that money goes ’round and ’round.
THAT is how the economy works, and a small example of how tax dollars DO help keep it running.
