I’ve come across books that showed all kinds, I mean all kinds of names throughout history that parents must not have given thought to, such as Lew Sir or Rob Burr (no joke!), etc.

In my day we called them “juvenille delinquents”! But they weren’t so little back then! Now they are called “Street thugs” “Gang Bangers” and viewed as potential terrorists!

Not only does it sound funny with that last name, but you might mispronounce it “cretin.”

Oh, Rick! Was this whole arc with the nudity just leading up to this pun? It’s funny, anyhoo! I love the interactions of Ruthie with her grandparents, much like my own. My parents were very young and I spent much of my younger years with Mom’s parents while mom and dad traveled. My grandpa taught me to count in Latin before kindergarten and had a great sense of humor.

I don’t actually laugh out loud much when I’m reading, it all stays in my head. But this one made me chuckle out loud. So unexpected, well done Rick!

Back in the 80’s, I had a very unhappy female student named Dwanna Reefer. Looking back, I wish I had reported her to DHHS (Dept of Health and Human Services) for child abuse in naming her that!

I worked in a hotel for a few years. I met a Clay Pigeon, a Rose Bush, and Mr. D.C. Graft. You just can’t make this stuff up! :)
