I wonder who does the coloring on this strip. The first thing I thought of when I saw a pink house with “US economy” on it was “rose colored glasses”, since it’s seems like the economy is better for the rich who have used the economy as an excuse for pay cuts and reductions in benefits.

That of course changed as soon as Obama was elected. Suddenly all debt and all economic downturns were his fault. How quickly we forget!
The GOP would also have us believe the bank bailouts were a failure, rather than the huge success it was – it even made the taxpayers a profit – imagine that!

I never made more money (in purchasing power) before or since. The US is the only country since the fall of the USSR that defines socialism like you do. Where have the Republicans’ “Only business can save the economy” businesses been? Oh, right, investing in China, India, Bangladesh, Viet Nam, and stashing their profits next to Mitt’s in the Caymans.
What is it: Bush efforts to help economy and endorsed by Obama stopped the house from burning down, OR, Bush efforts are responsible for the house continuing to burn down for the last 4 years.
