Why do folks overlook that there are almost three more weeks of summer? Given our “respect” for the planet, they will be getting longer, and hotter, no matter our rotational position around the sun. (Yes, for our “deniers”, we DO go around the sun, and not vice-versa.)

^^It’s also about “back to school sales”, that start in JUNE! If we DID go to year-around schools systems across the nation, would “summer” cease to exist? As a skier, I like winter, and have been lamenting the lack of snow over the past four years in our area, while the folks who didn’t used to get it, are, and complain about it! Maybe if we kept kids out of school in winter, it would last longer?

I hate to see summer end too. The traffic is noticeably worse.
