The GOP has abandoned truth, but their zombies don’t realize that the media’s reason for existence is to report the truth. Fox news only reports wing nut propaganda — so when the other media outlets report truth, the GOP sees it as an attack, rather than getting caught.
While comparing people to “animals” always tends to insult, the animal; I would say that most “liberals” I’ve known have been a lot more like the mule, requiring some “convincing” before they will “buy” what you’re selling.
Our “current” Republicans definitely don’t fit the “elephant” mold, especially as elephants ARE controlled by a MATRIARCHAL CULTURE! But, while most folk don’t realize cockroaches are almost obsessed with cleanliness compared to other insects, they DO prefer to hid out in dark places, and tend to run away from threats, while some hiss loudly as a pretense of “defense”.
Rats also get a lot of blame, but where would medical science, and pharmaceutical research be without them. Snakes are really pretty cool (okay poikilothermic) and much maligned because of bible mythology, but don’t insult them.
@Robert Landers: you’re right about there being right-wing nuts out there. But I beg to differ about the implication that we have to look back four years or more to find examples of left-wing nuts. In that regard, the only difference between today and four years ago is that the left-wing nuts are in power.
As for compromise, it’s foolish to attempt to compromise with someone who has no interest in reciprocating — which didn’t stop some Republicans from trying during the early part of Obama’s term. Yes, it’s sad; but it’s also true: especially during the first two years of Obama’s administration, the only times you ever heard anyone talk about “compromise” were the few occasions when Democrats needed a few Republican votes to get their agenda through. And even then, it wasn’t in terms of “how can we alter our agenda so that it will be more palatable to you?” but rather “This is our agenda, and we’re not going to change it to accommodate you; but if you sign on to it, we’ll praise you for being ‘bipartisan’.” That’s not compromise; that’s bullying and capitulation.
Ramirez has perfectly represented the MSM…CNN, NBC, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, PBS and the print media from the NYT and W.Post and Newsweek, etc…the Lib/Left…when he depicts the group as the Blind Man who attends the GOP convention, but just don’t understand what they find….cursing Clint Eastwood (who has launched a hurricane of Eastwooding on the internet of copycats talking to empty chairs, HA).-Fox TV News gives straight news, then airs all sides on commentary, gives data mined from government stats and reliable professional sources, and then leaves the viewers to make up their own minds. Fox makes monkeys out of the MSM TV news channels, and has earned the higher ratings.-The GOP platform names God, the Creator as the source of our human rights, and have a solid support for God’s nation of Israel in the platform. The Democratic platform never mentions “God” and removed 7 sentences from the 2008 “support Israel” plank, to match Obama’s policies, which is THROWING ISRAEL UNDER THE BUS. I hope the American Jewish vote is alert to this fatal snub and votes accordingly. Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem…Psalm 122:6.
