A couple of years ago my sister was at a civic center took her ring off to wash her hands and the ring flew off somewhere and disappeared. She turned in a police report of being stolen. I told her, she should not have taken her ring off.
At the very least, it must be moved down a joint for properr scrubbing for surgery.
