Although I moved to Centurion, which was much quieter, after 4 years I decided enough was enough and left.@ mikefive. You’d think so. One time , I had to visit the Portuguese consulate, which was still in downtown Jo’burg, Eloff street if I recall. As we made our way back to my car, we heard some gunshots. We then saw a crowd run ahead of us. Police cars with sirens blaring soon roared up roads left & right of us to surround the block. Then a gun battle broke out. We started walking briskly the other way. BUT…we had to fight our way through the crowd as they surged back to the jewellery heist scene to witness the ensuing gun fight between cops & robbers. Nuts.
On my last trip to Portland (OR), in three days there were three separate shootings, with four killed, within blocks of where I was. At least, many with guns don’t know how to use them, and that DOES keep the death toll down, so bad aim is a “blessing”??
Ok then, there should be cowering from Norway, Canada, victims from the PLO, South Africa, Oh, how about the Spain bombings? As well as Iraq, Afghanistan….My point? It’s NOT just an American problem!!!!!!!!!! (Hint: It’s the mentally ill….)

^Only if they’re still in a gun that’s thrown at you, of course! (Amazing how many folks do NOT know how to work the safety on their weapons!)

If those athletes were REAL Americans, they’d have drawn their guns and be firing back.

Not one of your better comics Mike. Vague and somewhat in poor taste. Just saying.
