    “Peaceful” is good. I confess that “servile” rankles with me too – “service-oriented” would be a much better term and state of mind, something we ourselves need to learn from. “Servile” means something entirely different (look it up, if you want to know how bad and don’t already), and I wonder if this is merely a slip of the cartoonist’s literary tongue or a reflection of broader attitudes of the time when this was created.
